Spread the Cheer!

I have lots of wine corks from bartending in the past... I need to find a use for them!
An option like this could be very glam...

Thanksgiving has come and gone (and boy was it grand!). Now it's officially time to start decorating the homestead with holiday decor galore:) ( i like that).
I can check one thing off the list...I have put up the tree. I want to be creative and frugal, so hand crafted decor will definitely be the case this year. I'm going to try to spruce up what I used last year with extra glitter, glam and ribbon of course!
My little crafting list consists of... 1. center pieces for the table 2. Wreath for the door 3. holiday runner for the kitchen edge 4. Second hand candle sticks made fabulous again. And, its all up to me to make it happen!
Im having the girls over Saturday for a much needed night of catching up! Very excited!
I believe my inspiration this year will be...

Black Friday Blah...

I wanted to do my part stimulating the economy so I rolled out of bed at 5:00 am like millions of others to venture into the madness of sales this year on black Friday (first time ever I should add). Only to find out what a disappointment I was going to be handed. I hardly found anything worth scooping in my bag and hiding from others. Some of the sales that had gotten me up in the first place were in size XXL(nothing wrong with that but I know stores make more than one size), wrong color, items in ads not there, on this not that or not that much of a sale at all. I can officially say unless I'm first in line and "NEED" something specific I won't be back.
The only reason I can see shopping amongst the madness on black Friday is when I have children and the one thing on Santa's list is a steal of a deal.
I would love to hear other black Friday stories.... Did anyone find something to brag about? Did anyone see any hair pulling mom fights?

Love to Know.

I am Thankful!

I love this time of year because I get to reflect on what I'm thankful for and well ... eat of course. This is when being form the South really pays off big time. There is nothing better than sweet potato casserole, stuffing, gelatin salad, greens, rolls, green bean casserole and home-made macaroni.

I will be heading to Pulaski, TN (little downtown pictured) with the hubby to feast with the Morgans. My family lives in Knoxville so we stay closer to home and enjoy our time with John's family.

This year I am Thankful for:
My loving husband, a roof over my head, a great job, my three very cute dogs, my family, and good health. That's all!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all

Long over due...

Well Ive been away but only to play! Ive been busy learning to sew again since I'm now a married domestic diva (yeah right). but any who, my creative juices have been flowing in my woman-made sweat shop.

I’ve been busy creating for others and loving it along the way. Whoever knew that finally getting the ol’ sewing machine out of the box would be so grand. It’s funny how your creative geniuses start flowing when you satisfy a passion that has been safely stored away.

I’m on a baby forward path with upcoming showers popping up everywhere. I have been in the sweat shop inventing creative designs for blurb cloths, baby bibs, savvy paci’s, time out chairs and much more. I love this ya’ll cuteness is addictive.

Im Savvy now, Chit chat chic
