First day of school not so easy on a new mom!

Today, Ella started daycare for the first time. I never thought leaving her in a safe environment would be so hard.
She just looked at me with her big brown eyes, while playing on the colorful mat with the other children, like “bye mom see you later.” I cried like I was a 2-year old being dropped off in the jungle.
I wanted her to maybe cry just a little bit giving me a reason to pick her up and run. Not the case.

I only called once today to check up on her, I thought that was pretty good. She was fine of course. She is an amazing baby so I know they will love her:)

Hopefully tomorrow will be easier -- on me that is, I'm sure Ella will be fine. I did get lots of pictures for her first day of school.

If you knew you were dying, what would you do?

Most of you already know Elizabeth Edwards recently lost her long time battle with cancer. I keep thinking about her three children and how their lives will ultimately be changed forever. I am certain before her passing she talked to her children about living without her. Before she died she began writing a letter on life, death, marriage, the future and how to's (to name a few). I think this was a beautiful thing to leave to her children not only as a keep sake but as a constant reminder of the person she wanted them to be.

What would you say to your loved ones, family and friends if you knew tomorrow would be your last. Would you go crazy, would you spend all of your savings, oh the possibilities. I love the idea of a letter, something to express everything you are thinking at a time when your honesty and truth will flow.

I would love to hear what you would do to commemorate your life for the future.

Happy Friday,

Its a 50/50 chance in the game of life.

I never imagined how much I would love being a mom. I've totally changed my way of living for this tiny human and have never looked back. Yes, Im tired or sometimes grumpy but the very moment her face lights up and smiles all worries disappear:)
Before I met Ella and experienced hands on what being a mom would feel like I was the type that wanted a child but didnt know when. Also, I wanted "child" singular, meaning only one.
I am now questioning the singular "uno" child scenario. I want Ella to have at least one sibling. I know how much I love my sister and brother and I want Ella to have the same experiences and memories as I did.
I want to try for a boy but I would be more than happy with two girls, or maybe three:) Ha!
My husband of course wants a boy more than anything in the world. He is a major sports fan and wants a football player to rough up.

So here's to a house full of crazy, wild, loving, smart children:) If that is God's plan.

Here is a plan that I won't be considering. HeHe.

Doggy Woes

I had to wake up this morning before 5:00 am, to my frantic husband yelling at me to get out of bed because something was wrong with Taysha- I JUMPED out of bed!

For those of you who don't know Taysha is my angel, my very first dog and my life would crumble all around me if something ever happened to her. This dog will for sure out live me or die the day I do like an old married couple.
Well, Taysha must have been very excited about eating breakfast this morning because she horded her food in her mouth from the others and ran off to drop her pile in the special place she wanted to eat it (she always does this weird eating habit) and she choked on a piece of food. And, I think she picked up a string along the way. So here my dog is choking at 5:00am and all I can do it sit there beside her in major panic mode.
How do you relieve a dog if they are choking? I didn't know the Doggy Heimlich removal or CPR. I had no clue. All I could do was sit there and watch her suffer while I kept patting her on her sides and sticking my finger down her throat.
Well, Im not sure which part worked the beating or the finger but eventually she stopped hacking. I layed down with her on the couch becuase of course she only wanted to be with me. I tried to calm her down beucase she kept shaking (so sad). Taysha made it through thank God!

Gender Predictor... Hmmmm?

We live in society where now is already late and we need everything 30 minutes ago. So if you could predict the future, would you? Here is your opportunity... wondering whether you will have a boy or a girl, once you decide to have children, (or if you have them already and have something to prove) please proceed to the Chinese gender predictor. Yep you heard it, the Chinese have formulated a calendar that can predict (so they say) whether you will have a boy or a girl.
Don't believe me, try it out for yourself and try your friends and your mom and call your Grandmother. I want to prove the system wrong;) (mission for the day)

here she is, the future...

Let me know the outcome! Please, please, Please

It's over already?

Well we bought, we came, we saw and now its all over:( This Christmas went by way too quick! I will have to say though its been one of the best Ive had in awhile. Im not sure what it was but I was totally in the spirit this year ~ happy face!
I got to see my crazy, wacky, wonderful family which was one of the highlights since I never get to see them. John and I also got to spend some quality time his parents and brother and we had an amazing time there as well. We are sooo blessed to have such supportive and wonderful families... we are loved.
I think one of the best moments (or multiple moments) of Christmas was probably my little cousin Reese, she never stopped dancing, laughing and intoxicating everyone with her energy. I love seeing Christmas through a childs eyes. But she knew the real reason for the season. She came in telling everyone, with the most enthusiam you would find in 17 adults, "look at the barbies I got for Jesus's Birthday." I loved it!
So Jesus, thank you for all the awesome gifts I received this Christmas for your birthday! You gave up so much so I could have the greatest gift everyday. So one more time (with applause, cake and candles) Baby Jesus, Happy Birthday and Thank You!!!

All the best,

Surprise!

How do you feel about surprises? When it comes to gifts would you rather know what you are getting or open a surprise? Are you one of those people (like my sister) who you can bribe into telling you what your surprise gift is, so in return you spill the beans as well.
Growing up, I used to do this to my sister every Christmas. "I will tell you yours if you will tell me mine," of course the stipulations were she had to go first, and then I wouldn't tell her or I would tell her something that wasn't true. How terrible of a big sis was I.
This year my husband has tried to play this game, but he doesn't know I made up the rules a long time ago. I want to keep it a secret, so I don't ask. I love Surprises. So when he asked I mase up something he is not getting and got all him excited!Terrible Fun.

So, are you looking for a surprise gift this year or did you make a list and check it twice?

All the best,
