Even Apple Makes Mistakes

If you haven't been in the presence of technology in the past 2 days then you wouldn't know about the new apple iPad that just came out. Well, don't run out and pick one up just yet. Like most technology this one will hopefully get better with time.
But, the best part of this new Apple innovation would have to be the laughs its receiving. The name iPad alone lends itself to many jokes and one-liners (ha). This funny name, iPad was the main plot to a Mad'TV scene back in the day.
Check it out, too funny not to share;) Its is pretty raunchy though.

Humpday Confession

It's Wednesday already, and I'm here to confess.

Confession:

In second grade I cheated on a spelling test. I know this doesn't sound too terrible, but this has always stuck with me so I thought I would get it out. The year was 1990 and it was the time of the Gulf War. How do I remember this all you say? Well, my Dad was in the army so I remember it well.
One of our words on our spelling test was Saudi Arabia. So I wrote on my pencil box "My Dad is in Saudi Arabia" so I could look at it during the test and cheat!

There is it my confession. I can't remember cheating on any other spelling test, I think because that one made such a mark on me:)

Color Combos

My favorite color combination for the home right now is Turquoise and Red. May not sound like the best combo when you say it out loud, but the impact in a room is one to stop and stare! Please note I could use Tourquise in every room in my house, but J stops me when I mention turquoise;)
I also think this would be a great wedding color pallette. These two colors pop and look good on everyone (ultimate goal accomplished).
I've loved this combo since about one week after I was married:( Now I see it everywhere. Love

Need a New Read

Does anyone have a particular book that they want to rave about? Im always up for a good read. I'm currently reading Eat, Pray, Love. which started off really good, but now it is not keeping me wanting more.
I will need a new book soon and I like to read books people can tell you about and really say, "that was a good book."

So let me know, what I should pick up and spend time with.

Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda

If you could do anything what would it be? Now let's throw in another perk and say, you would not fail? Would the outcome be different?
The whole NBC Leno Vs. Conan press opportunity has me thinking of this very question. What if you were actually doing the very thing you always wanted to do and then it was taken away. Not a good day on the farm.
What would I do you say?
Well, I would own my own stationary shop with cute stuff galore. You could monogram anything and personalize everything! The shop would be filled with rare gifts for any special person in your world. I would have classes on entertaining and wine tastings for fun. The decor would be fun, frilly (in a good way) and glam from the floor up.
And, if I couldn't fail...
I would be a back-up dancer for Brittany Spears! Baby hit me one more time, I would dance with Britt any day of the week! If I could and was good that is.

What would you do? Let me know!

Hump Day Confessions

Hello Wednesday, time for me to spill the beans...
Confession:

When I was in third grade I believe, or maybe second I wrote a letter to the Barney show explaining why I should be on the show. I listed all of the great qualities I endured at the time: great dancer, great singer (never was I this) beautiful and better than the other kids. Needless to say I never received any response back from Barney.
I dont event think I told me mom I sent that letter;)

Funny to think back about!

Doggy Woes

I had to wake up this morning before 5:00 am, to my frantic husband yelling at me to get out of bed because something was wrong with Taysha- I JUMPED out of bed!

For those of you who don't know Taysha is my angel, my very first dog and my life would crumble all around me if something ever happened to her. This dog will for sure out live me or die the day I do like an old married couple.
Well, Taysha must have been very excited about eating breakfast this morning because she horded her food in her mouth from the others and ran off to drop her pile in the special place she wanted to eat it (she always does this weird eating habit) and she choked on a piece of food. And, I think she picked up a string along the way. So here my dog is choking at 5:00am and all I can do it sit there beside her in major panic mode.
How do you relieve a dog if they are choking? I didn't know the Doggy Heimlich removal or CPR. I had no clue. All I could do was sit there and watch her suffer while I kept patting her on her sides and sticking my finger down her throat.
Well, Im not sure which part worked the beating or the finger but eventually she stopped hacking. I layed down with her on the couch becuase of course she only wanted to be with me. I tried to calm her down beucase she kept shaking (so sad). Taysha made it through thank God!

Make a Difference

I'm sure we've all seen the news and the detrimental effects of the Haiti earthquake. If you feel like being philanthropic today and helping aid in the efforts to restore Haiti send a quick text message to The American Red Cross. This simple peck on the keys will donate $10.00 to help provide supplies and care to the people and children in Haiti.
The American Red Cross has already raised 1,000,000 through the text message campaign. So if you are thinking "what is my $10.00 going to do?", well it adds up with others to make a larger amount that will in turn be enough to make a difference.
Text the word "Haiti" to 90999. If  you would like more information visit The American Red Cross

Hump Day Confessions

I figure mid week is a great time to spill the beans...
So, I figured I would start my own tradition, here and now, of Confessing something every Wednesday. So here I am all exposed:)

Confession:
When I am in a meeting or a group setting I think of my escape route if I have to throw-up, Yuck I know. I check the exits and see where the closest trashcan is hidden. In the event I have to make a run for it.
Weird I know, but there it is!

Happy Hump day!

Now I want to hear yours! You can do it, everyone loves talking about themselves:) (smiling)

Gender Predictor... Hmmmm?

We live in society where now is already late and we need everything 30 minutes ago. So if you could predict the future, would you? Here is your opportunity... wondering whether you will have a boy or a girl, once you decide to have children, (or if you have them already and have something to prove) please proceed to the Chinese gender predictor. Yep you heard it, the Chinese have formulated a calendar that can predict (so they say) whether you will have a boy or a girl.
Don't believe me, try it out for yourself and try your friends and your mom and call your Grandmother. I want to prove the system wrong;) (mission for the day)

here she is, the future...

Let me know the outcome! Please, please, Please

Grilled Cheese Please

I guess its the weather or my adolescent side shining through but Ive been hooked on Grilled Cheese sandwiches here recently! I can't get enough:) Anything I'm eating, I find myself thinking, I bet a grilled cheese would go with this. Or I start eating something and don't really want to eat it because I'm thinking of how much better a Grilled Cheese would be. Or... even worse the hubby makes dinner, and I'm like Ugh I was going to make a Grilled Cheese (not nice).

We made dinner plans on Thursday with friends to go to the Cheesecake Factory (shout out) and they have the best grilled cheese ever!!!!!
So I will have a Grilled Cheese please, two slices of cheese and butter on both sides!

Snow Days

Well the 100% chance, 2-3 inches, all schools closed snow storm in TN turned out to be a flake! The ground is not even covered in the white powder. If it's going to snow I just wish it would, because in the south we are just not prepared for a slight drizzle. Its definitely not enough call in to work however risking your life amongst the Soccer mom's with 4x4 Range Rovers is a chance I hate to take - dilemma (thinking face).  So go ahead Snow Storm come and go!

Even the cops cant drive in TN when the whiteness starts!
