Baby Crafts

As most of you know, I've been known to get a little savvy on the sewing machine. Also, I have been thinking of selling some of my stuff on the side for some extra cash and because I like to do it so much:) It's easy to mass produce when  you like what you are making. Here is a look at some of the baby gifts I have been creating...

I'm test selling on eBay. Check out the listings, tell you friends and buy a little something for a baby on the way!!!

Blogging is like Clogging

Blogging is like clogging when you have the rhythm you sound really good, but when you don't you are all tapped out!
I think of stuff to blog and then I forget, maybe I have the blog fog;) instead of writers block!

Have a great weekend!

Supper Club, mmm...mmm... good

I've been talking about it forever, and now we are finally going to attempt the task. A group of my friends, happens to be 5 couples, will be rotating houses to serve up a home cooked meal to the group. I have been trying to decide what we will do since I volunteered to be first:) John wants to do a "Barbecue" theme because he loves cooking on the grill and wants to try out a new Rib recipe.
I thought this might work out well because I recently saw the cutest idea for a Backyard Barbecue themed party. The date has been set for April 16th so I'm hoping the weather will be nice enough to have everyone outside. Plus, decorating outside will be way more fun! The one thing I am going to have to do pronto is get some extra seating. I only have a table that sits six! and the group is made of 10:) This is something I should invest in anyways, you can never have too much seating for a large group.
Here are some of the ideas I'm thinking of attempting...

This will be tricky I have NO trees in the back yard!

I want to have a lemonade stand with original and a flavored lemonade:)
For dessert maybe we could have homemade ice cream! I don't have a "maker thing" though.

Just some initial thoughts and ideas. It's right around the corner so I need to finalize the details!

Loving it!

I am loving the Liberty of London line available at Target. I just wish I had the room and extra money for "just because" dishes. I would for sure have a dinner party as a tribute to these dishes! I like the other stuff as well, but for some reason the dishes really stand out on the "Wants" list:)

Take a peek you will like too!

Enjoy!

Hey Hey Hey its Friday!

Here's to a great weekend! Going out to eat with friends tonight (a Friday ritual almost), getting my hair done on Saturday (may be my last time in while) I hope to hit up some children's consignment shops as well on Saturday (I have heard these are the best) and Sunday I plan to take it easy and sew some crafts!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Pushin Present

Yep, you heard it, have a baby and you get a pushin present. I heard this term a couple years ago from a friend and fell in love. Hooray I get a special present (other than the baby) for having a baby! So John recently has asked me what I would want... Well, I've been thinking a mothers ring with the baby's birthstone or a personal trainer (for obvious reasons after the baby). My due date is September 1 so the baby's birthstone would be Sapphire if born then. If he or she comes early the birthstone will be Peridot (which is the same as mine).  I'm thinking this baby will come early, I just have a hunch (or maybe a prayer). If so, I already have a birthstone ring I got for graduation from my grandparents. I thought of just getting another one, but I don't know. I have posted some rings I like for the occasion;) I like simple and vintage looks. I also, like the idea of the stackable bands that I can add to in the future.
Have you heard of the pushin present? If so what did you get? If not, what would you want?

Love to know...

Making Extra Income

I'm trying to think of something to do on the side before the baby comes to make some extra cash-- especially while I'm out of work. I love to sew baby gifts like cute burp cloths, onesies, pacie holders and bibs (to name a few). Im thinking of selling on Esty or Ebay. However, I'm concerned with the market being a little saturated. I think almost every crafty stay at home mom has tried this on the side. I think it's all in the fabrics you chose to use that make the items cute or not. I've been working on a couple sets to get me started. Right now I'm thinking 2 burp cloths, one bib and a pacie clip as one set.... does this sound like a good deal to you? How much would you pay for something like this, Im thinking $15.00. Would you pay this amount?
I will post photos soon, just want to get a little feedback before:)

Let me know if you think this market is too overwhelmed and how much you would pay?

Hello Sunshine, Hello Weekend

I am so ready to put on my sunglasses and enjoy the weather! Finally, the sun is peeping through the clouds and everything is looking a little brighter:)
I have dinner plans with friends tonight that I never get to see (makes me very happy). All of my old roomies are meeting up to celebrate each other! All of our lives have changed so much in the past year... a marriage, two babies, two pregnancies... maybe someone will have some big news to reveal tonight:)
I'm sure to take pictures, so I will post on here next week -- something I need to get better at!

I'm also getting my taxes done on Saturday and this is always exciting. I wonder how much money we will get back this year, we need it!

Here's to a great weekend! Hope everyone has plans for something exciting.

To Gym or Not?

Im a member of the "Y" however the past couple of weeks I haven't felt like walking through the doors (reminder I'm preggers). I dont want the pregnancy to be an excuse (but it definitely is) for not at least getting on the treadmill, but when I get off work or up in the morning the last thing I want to do is work out. I never want to go after work anymore becuase I don't want to change there, Im totally exhausted  and I'm soo hungry by this time I could fall over. I'm debating to cancel my membership. It's a monthly contract so I could pick it back up after the baby, but it just kind of sucks to give it up. However, everything I can do there now I can do at home - walk. Like today I feel good, I think I will go to the gym, maybe a Yoga class.
Oh what to do. Gym? or no Gym?
