I need a craft room!

I've been busy sewing and creating cute stuff and I need to get organized! I lay my scissors down and then one second later I can't find them because I've laid them on top of scrap fabric that I just cut away-- one example. I have ribbon mixed in with buttons and glue mixed in with pins. I have what I need but not in the places I need them. It is time to get organized and I think I'm going to need some cleaver organizing skills, freakish type help!
First on the agenda would be to move the sweat shop inside -- currently I reside in the garage. Not good in the winter, not good in the summer!
If it were up to me I would claim the upstairs and take over, but I'm married and for some reason my husband wants to have a say in the only extra space in our 1600 sq.ft. home.

Here are a couple of pics of what I would LOVE to do. Husband if you ever read this, a surprise craft room would be the most amazing thing ever!!!!! Mother's day is coming up!!!!

If you know of any inexpensive tricks to organizing, because you are a freakish organizer, please let me know!!! Share anything:)

All freak organizers please help!

First day of school not so easy on a new mom!

Today, Ella started daycare for the first time. I never thought leaving her in a safe environment would be so hard.
She just looked at me with her big brown eyes, while playing on the colorful mat with the other children, like “bye mom see you later.” I cried like I was a 2-year old being dropped off in the jungle.
I wanted her to maybe cry just a little bit giving me a reason to pick her up and run. Not the case.

I only called once today to check up on her, I thought that was pretty good. She was fine of course. She is an amazing baby so I know they will love her:)

Hopefully tomorrow will be easier -- on me that is, I'm sure Ella will be fine. I did get lots of pictures for her first day of school.

When do you stop shopping in Juniors???and start wearing mom jeans...

When is it appropriate to stop shopping in the Juniors section? I think it is a natural attraction to hit this section first when shopping for everyday items. However, I am always more successful when searching for work cloths in the woman’s section.
Here lately though I’ve pondered the fact of whether or not I should stray to the juniors section at all. Now that I am a mother, do I get to start wearing “mom jeans”? I know no one want to see me pushing a stroller and falling victim to the “crack kills” joke.

So, do I say goodbye to the TJMaxx $14.99 jeans and tops and migrate to the $39.99 Michael Kors button down and high wasted DKNY jeans? I guess this is the question now that I am a responsible mother, with a daughter that will one day be embarrassed of what I wear no matter what it is.

Are you wearing “mom jeans” ????

This is why I didnt get maternity pictures...

I considered maternity pictures, even went all the way to Murfreesboro to get Precious Moments Photos photographer Stephanie Pruett (the Best at what she does) to take my shots... and then I just wasn't feeling it. I didn't mind being pregnant. Of course no one likes gaining an extra 40 lbs, not being able to breathe, not being able to tie their shoes or walk or... okay I will stop there but it really is a beautiful thing. I actually miss it some days. (The then reality sets in)

I captured the moment with weekly body shots I will always have and can go back to and laugh. I really was a lot bigger than I thought I was.

Now for all of those beautiful pregnant women this is how maternity pictures can turn bad quick! here is a quick reference for what Not to do!!! Pregnant Chicken has some hilarious and not so pleasant maternity pics that might make  you reconsider the beauty in your very small swollen belly.

Enjoy the laughs at the very Awkward Pregnancy Photos.

My Superbowl Moments...

I like a good football game, especially when the score is close and stakes are high. I watch the Superbowl every year, just like most Americans, for the ads. Here is my take on the 2011 Superbowl.

1. Even celebrities get nervous and forget - Christina, you missed some words not sure if  you noticed.
2. Fergie of Black Eyed Peas - has great legs but doesn't mix well with others outside her group, especially Guns and Roses.
3. Chrysler 200 ad - best of the night!
4. Doritos - Best part, licking the finger ad - second best.
5. Kim Kardashian - Sketchers, not really sure here, she did great but doesn't she represent Reebok - miss communication with brands.
6. Snickers - Rosanne getting blasted by the log.
7. GoDaddy - Joan Rivers as a sex symbol just isn't right! The boob shot was too much!
8. Seeing celebrities in the stands - Cameron Diaz was feeding her man Arod.
9. The Food - National feed your face with good appetizers!

10. Ella was the the cutest! I made her an outfit only fitting for game day. Pictures soon to come!

That's my take on the commercials and the day. Way to go packers!

Twist and Turn and immediate perfection... I don't think so.

Have you heard of the Goody’s Twist and spin pins? Well, that’s probably because they don’t work.

I saw a little girl (probably 7 or 8 years old), sitting in front of me at a T-Pac show, wrap her hair up in a little bun, twist these things in and that was that. I had seen it with my own eyes so I just had to have them.
Really cool concept. Whip your hair up in one of those cute messy buns, twist these little things in and wah- lah super model ready.
Not so much for my hair. It was a hot mess, and not the good kind. Maybe it’s because I have super long hair these days, or the fact I hadn’t washed my hair, or the fact I did not use hairspray, or the fact I only tried once and was immediately bummed.
Maybe I will try again. Has anyone had any success with the swistaroos?
