Bubble, Pop, Delicious

I chew gum... not a crime, but now if I am to swallow my bubbalicious what will the outcome be? When a preggers lady swallows her gum, where does the gum go? Does the baby get the gum? Could this be a bad thing? Random thought but I swallowed so now I'm thinking about it:)

Let me know your professional opinion:)

  1. Saw your post on FB and since I work L&D, I will try to answer... Baby will not get the gum. The gum will travel your digestive tract as usual. It is hard to explain but baby gets all his/her nutrients via your blood flow to the placenta. Hard to explain the whole pathophysiology in a comment box, sorry!
